ABOUT NOVA SCHOOL / OUR STORY
Nova School was born from a simple belief: science and engineering should feel exciting, accessible and full of possibility for every child.
By bringing together experience in primary education and real-world engineering, we're creating STEM experiences that spark curiosity, encourage discovery and help young minds see what they're capable of.

BIG IDEAS.
CURIOUS MINDS.
REAL POSSIBILITIES.

01 / HOW IT ALL BEGAN
IT STARTED WITH A CONVERSATION.
Like many good ideas, Nova School started with a conversation between two friends while walking the dog.
One came from the world of primary education. The other had spent more than two decades working in engineering, manufacturing and industry. Different backgrounds, but a shared belief that children deserve to experience science as something exciting, practical and relevant to the world around them.
That conversation grew into Nova School, bringing together educational expertise and real-world engineering to create memorable STEM experiences for primary schools.
Our ambition is simple: help more children discover what's possible when curiosity meets opportunity.

02 / THE PEOPLE BEHIND NOVA
TWO BACKGROUNDS. ONE SHARED VISION.
Nova School brings together experience from two very different worlds: primary education and professional engineering. Together, we're creating STEM experiences that combine engaging teaching with practical, real-world science.

BEN SILVER
CO-FOUNDER / EDUCATION & DELIVERY
Ben's background spans primary teaching, curriculum development and tuition. His experience working with children across different educational settings helps shape Nova's engaging, age-appropriate STEM experiences.
He leads the educational development and presentation of our programmes, helping pupils explore big scientific ideas through curiosity, investigation and discovery.

CO-FOUNDER / ENGINEERING & OPERATIONS
DAN ALLEN
Dan brings more than 20 years of experience across engineering, manufacturing and industrial operations. His career has centred on solving practical problems, developing systems and making complex engineering work in the real world.
At Nova, he helps turn scientific ideas into practical experiences, developing the equipment and operational systems that make our school visits possible.
03 / WHAT WE BELIEVE
CURIOSITY CHANGES EVERYTHING.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience science and engineering in a way that feels exciting, accessible and relevant to their world.
Our approach is built around three simple principles.

SPARK CURIOSITY

Big questions, surprising discoveries and experiences that make pupils want to know more.
BUILD CONFIDENCE

Encouraging children to ask questions, test ideas and discover that they are capable of understanding complex things.

REAL-WORLD ENGINEERING
Showing how science and engineering shape the world around us, from everyday objects to extraordinary technology.
04 / OUR MISSION
Our mission is to make science and engineering accessible, engaging and inspiring for every primary school pupil.
We want children to experience the excitement of discovery, develop confidence in their own ideas and recognise that the skills they learn today can help them shape the world tomorrow.
INSPIRING THE ENGINEERS, SCIENTISTS AND INNOVATORS OF TOMORROW.

BECAUSE THE FUTURE BELONGS TO CURIOUS MINDS.
05 / JOIN THE ADVENTURE
LET'S INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION. TOGETHER.
Every great discovery starts with curiosity. Whether you're planning a school science day, celebrating British Science Week or looking for new ways to inspire your pupils, we'd love to be part of it.
Tell us about your school and what you're looking for. Together, we can create a STEM experience that sparks curiosity and opens up a world of possibilities.

No obligation. Just a conversation about what's possible.
